Responsibility details are not available.
A female figure in flying kit, intended for a large model of an attack machine. The designation defines the subject as the LTV A-7D and A-7E Corsair II and describes the pose as standing in the type 1 form.
For modern settings, and for retrospective ones, a female figure is useful if only because display cases tend to be peopled monotonously. Military aviation opened the way to combat machines for women gradually, and today their presence on the flight line is ordinary. The figure therefore works as a natural element of a contemporary scene and at the same time as a welcome change in an arrangement in which every other figure is male.
In a large scale a face gives away every mistake, so build the skin up in thin layers and never in one covering coat. Start with a darker tone, then lighten the forehead, the nose and the chin, and only at the end add a pinkish cast on the cheeks. The hair showing from under the helmet will take a transition from the base shade to a lighter one at the ends of the strands. The coveralls will stand a worn look, but leave the equipment and the straps clean, because they are inspected regularly and do not get grimy.
Paints and bases are not included.
