An aftermarket accessory from Reskit for models of the two-seat F-15E Strike Eagle strike aircraft (and its export I and K versions) in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the wheels from a plastic kit with accurate resin parts. Beware of a mix-up: this set is intended for the heavier Strike Eagle, not for the pure fighter F-15C/D versions. It is not an aircraft model but a detail improvement to the landing gear.
The Strike Eagle is a combat-loaded derivative of the Eagle with a strengthened landing gear and a higher takeoff weight, which the tires match. Resin wheels have a sharper tire tread, cleanly drawn hubs and usually a suggested sag under the weight of the machine, so that the model settles firmly and realistically onto a surface.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and level the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer, paint the tire and the hub separately and bring the tread out with a wash or a dry brush.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. It calls for the matching kit. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package.
