Waterslide decals in 1:32 scale aimed at the technical stenciling of the MiG-29 in its Polish form. The set is meant for finishing a model off; there are no plastic or photo-etched parts in it and it does not replace a kit.
In 1:32 scale the airframe of the MiG-29 has a great many areas that look empty without legends: the surroundings of the air intakes, the access panels on the spine, the filler points for service fluids, the landing gear bays and the area around the brake chute. Service legends bring these areas to life and give the model its sense of scale. On a type that flew in several countries, moreover, it is exactly the legends that reveal whose machine the model represents.
The MiG-29 has many engraved lines and changes of shape that a decal has to adhere over. The surest method is a two-stage one: apply a thin layer of decal setting solution to the spot, slide the decal onto it and align it, blot the surplus water away and only then wipe the surface with a softener. The carrier film softens and the decal draws itself into the engraving. During drying it may wrinkle or turn white, which is a normal effect of the softener. Leave it alone; once dry it will settle. Never press into a softened decal with a brush or a cotton bud, since the film tears easily at that moment and it cannot be put right.
The package holds decals only. The model, the paints, the varnishes and the softening solutions are not part of it.
