The Brengun Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero exterior photo-etched set in 1:32 scale refines the surface details of the Japanese fighter. It is an upgrade accessory, not a kit. Intended for the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Brengun aimed at the exterior of a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero fighter in 1:32 scale. This is not an airplane kit but an upgrade accessory to a plastic model. The photo-etched parts replace and add the fine exterior features, such as covers, flaps, meshes and smaller details of the airframe, which injected plastic does not capture thinly enough in scale. The target kit is the Hasegawa one.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the best known carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service of the Second World War. The A6M5c Model 52c variant was one of the late versions with strengthened armament and armor. The Zero became famous for its agility and long range, but by the end of the war its performance was no longer enough against Allied fighters.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife or scissors for photo-etched metal and bend them exactly according to the drawing. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and degrease the surfaces before painting. The thin exterior features stand out once oversprayed with the base color of the airframe and given a fine patina.
This is a detail accessory to a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
