Natural dark wood, Transparent 1:32 is an HGW sheet of transparent decals with a faithful dark wood grain for imitating a wooden structure on the surfaces of a model.

This is a decal sheet with the grain of natural dark wood in 1:32 scale from HGW. The decal is transparent, so the final color of the wood can be tuned by the shade of the paint underneath; a lighter or a darker base gives different tones to the individual panels. The set is intended to imitate the wooden structure of a fuselage and of other wooden surfaces, typically on aircraft of the First World War period.
First spray the surface with a white base, or another tone if you prefer, and differentiate the individual panels with different shades underneath. Cut out the shape you need with a small overlap and apply it like an ordinary decal with the help of a softener and a setting solution. Once dry, trim the excess film away with a sharp knife along the edges of the panels.
This is an accessory for surface finishing, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
