The GasPatch 1:32 Oberursel U.III rotary engine — a detailed 3D-printed resin engine for models of aircraft of the First World War. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement for the plastic engine, for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed 3D-printed resin model of the Oberursel U.III rotary aircraft engine in 1:32. It is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a model of an aircraft in its own right — the engine replaces the simplified plastic part in a kit and brings fine finning of the cylinders and valve gear. Unlike the single-row Oberursel U.I, the U.III is a two-row rotary engine with a higher number of cylinders.
The Oberursel U.III was a German two-row rotary engine of higher output, which came about as a response to the need for a more powerful powerplant at the close of the First World War. It was used only to a limited extent, among others in some Fokker fighters. As with every rotary engine, the whole block of cylinders and the propeller turn around a fixed crankshaft, which provides the cooling.
Wash any print resin residue off the parts and carefully separate them from the print supports. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The two rows of cylinders come out beautifully once a metallic base and a wash have been applied. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
