P-40N Warhawk (late) - colored 3D interior 1:32 is a set of raised cockpit detail on a decal backing paper for models of this American fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings colored, three-dimensionally raised cockpit detail for models of the late version of the P-40N Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale. These are 3D decals printed on a decal backing paper, neither photo-etch nor cast resin. The instrument panel, side consoles and other panels have recessed dials, raised levers and knobs and colored markings. The set is based on the cockpits of the P-40N kits from Hasegawa and from Eduard.
The P-40N was the most numerously built and lightened version of the Warhawk, aimed at improving the rate of climb and the speed. Late batches differed in small changes to the equipment and the glazing. Warhawks served with a number of Allied air forces in the Pacific and elsewhere and became famous for their toughness.
Run a gloss coat over the surface under the decal (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let it dry. Cut the part out, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the gloss coat; on broken shapes a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, they would attack the printed resin. Follow the order of the layers given in the instructions.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
