A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of faithful main landing gear bays for a matching P-51B Mustang kit. The castings bring the structure of the ribs, the lines and the walls that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The North American P-51 Mustang is an American fighter of the Second World War, famous above all as a long-range bomber escort. The P-51B version with the British Merlin engine (built under license by Packard) still had a framed canopy, that is, the razorback spine that preceded the later bubble canopy.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The bays come into their own once the base shade is painted, the edges are brought out with a dry brush and a wash is run into the recesses.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
