The Aber 1:32 set of 2 turned barrels for the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun, late type, is a metal detail accessory replacing the plastic barrels with a faithful brass part with a cooling jacket.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal detail accessory from the Polish firm Aber, not an aircraft model. The package contains two turned brass barrels of the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun in its late form, in 1:32 scale, with a drilled cooling jacket. The metal barrels replace the plastic ones and give the weapon fine detail with no parting seams.
The MG 131 was the standard German aircraft machine gun of the Second World War, fitted on fighters and bombers alike, for example the Bf 109, the Fw 190 and the He 177. The late barrel type matches the later production of the armament, which builders of machines from the end of the war will appreciate.
Cut off the plastic barrels, drill holes in the parts and glue the metal barrels in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base coat of primer. The metal parts can also be soldered if need be.
This is an add-on accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
