Spitfire Mk.I 1:32 — Big Ed is a combined package of photo-etched and masking sets (Eduard) for building the Spitfire Mk.I fighter. It is not a model, but a detail accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an aircraft model, but a combined collection of accessories from the Big Ed line for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:32 scale. Big Ed brings together several separate photo-etched sets and masking sets in one package. It usually includes photo-etched parts for the interior as well as the exterior and masks for the canopy and the wheels.
The package is fitted to the Spitfire Mk.I plastic kit in 1:32 scale from Kotare. The base kit is not included and the modeler has to own it. The set markedly raises the detail of the cockpit and the panels and makes precise masking of the glazing easier.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a bending tool or against a ruler. The color-printed interior photo-etch is not oversprayed. Peel the masks off carefully with tweezers and press them onto the glazing before painting.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
