This is a resin detail accessory, not an airplane model. The set contains cast main wheels with a five-spoke hub pattern and the paint masks supplied with them for painting the tire and the hub separately.
The resin wheels replace the plastic parts of a Spitfire Mk.IX model in 1:32 scale. They carry a fine tread and the lettering on the sidewall of the tire as well as a faithful relief on the hub. The optional slight flattening at the contact patch with the ground adds realism to a standing aircraft.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. The masks make a clean transition between the color of the tire and of the hub easy: stick them on, spray and remove them once the paint is dry. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); do any sanding with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
