A resin set of a detailed cockpit in 1:32 scale from Aires. This is not an airplane model but a replacement interior that takes the place of the simplified cockpit from the base kit with a faithful replica rich in detail. The set usually brings the instrument panel, the side panels, the seats and other equipment of the T-28B Trojan cockpit. It tends to come with photo-etched parts and pre-printed elements as well.
The North American T-28 Trojan was an American piston-engine trainer of the 1950s. The T-28B version served mainly with the US Navy for basic and advanced pilot training. The roomy cockpit and the tandem seating make the interior a conspicuous feature, and it is in the large 1:32 scale that it stands out on a model.
Wash the resin parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting and assembling the interior before closing the fuselage and checking the fit as you go, because resin sets sometimes call for a little adjustment of the cockpit seating. The detail stands out with a wash into the recesses and with a fine dry brush.
