Responsibility details are not available.
A motorized kit from the Japanese Mini 4WD series, which Tamiya lists as number 13. The manufacturer gives a length of 133 mm. The drive is to all four wheels, with shafts and gears to the front and rear axles, the motor is part of the package and no glue is needed for the build. The extensive sponsor markings are done with stickers, and the tires have a coarse off-road tread.
The model captures the Land Cruiser of the A.C.P. team from the 1990 Paris-Dakar Rally. This long-distance event across the Sahara ranked among the toughest undertakings in motorsport, and off-road Toyotas were at home in it: a modified frame, a reinforced chassis, roll cages and navigation equipment turned a production car into a machine for thousands of kilometers of sand and stone. It was this era that gave rise to the colorful rally liveries the model carries.
The plastic is colored, so the model stands up even without paint. When painting, choose thin coats so that the snap-fit joints keep holding. Apply the stickers to a degreased and dry surface, from the center toward the edges, and leave the gear train without paint and without glue. The coarse tire tread comes alive after a light pass with a gray dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled; the plastic parts are colored but not painted. The motor is part of the package and no glue is needed for the build, while two AA cells and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
