1:32 WW II Luftwaffe bomb SC 250 + crate box N1 is a Black Dog diorama accessory with a German SC 250 aerial bomb and a transport crate.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory without a figure element: the German SC 250 aerial bomb alone and the crate in which the ammunition was transported and stored. It is a typical building block of a diorama, not a model of an aircraft. It works best in a place where you want to suggest that operations are alive on the parking apron, that is at the edge of the area, under a camouflage net or beside a truck.
Aerial bombs did not reach a machine straight from the factory. They were stored away from the aircraft, usually dispersed and covered against the weather, and were brought to the place gradually according to the task. The crates served as protection during transport and in period photographs they turn up everywhere around, piled into stacks or thrown about empty. The SC 250 bomb belonged to the most widespread German aviation armament of the Second World War.
The crate allows work with wood to be shown off: a base in a warm beige tone, once dry a thin brown accent in the grooves and at the end a dry brush with a lighter shade along the edges. The lettering on the sides comes across believably when you let it fade in places. The body of the bomb, on the contrary, keeps its smoothness, so an even spray, sharply separated bands and only slight soiling at the end belong here. Add rust on the metal parts of the crate sparingly, so that the scene does not look abandoned.
