Palm leaves - type I., green are a Model Scene scenery material for 1:32 and 1:35 scale — individual leaves for building a tropical palm or for filling out lush vegetation.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of individual palm leaves in a version for the large 1:32 and 1:35 scales from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene. It is not a finished tree and not a kit — you get separate leaves cut to a fine shape that you fit onto a trunk of your own making, or use as ground-level tropical growth. The green version matches living, fully grown leaves.
The commonest use is building a palm: the leaves are glued onto a prepared trunk one by one from the top down, so that they overlap and create a full crown. The second option is to use them loose as low tropical vegetation, cover around structures, camouflage for a vehicle or as foliage in undergrowth. Individual leaves let you adjust the density and the shape of the crown exactly to suit a scene, which is not possible with a finished tree.
Before gluing, bend the leaves slightly or draw them over an edge, so that they lose their flat shape and gain a natural curve. Cyanoacrylate proves itself, as it holds immediately and lets you hold a leaf at the angle you want. The coloring can be toned with a light overspray or a darker wash to deepen the shadows, but in most scenes the material is enough as it is. Credibility is helped by mixing green leaves with dry ones — on real palms dried leaves hang under the crown practically always.
This is a scenery material for building dioramas, not a model kit. The trunk, the glue, the paints and the base board are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
