Ceramic tiles for walls and floors, version B in 1:35 scale are a diorama accessory for interior tiling, not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A diorama accessory from Matho Models in 1:35 scale. It serves to give an interior in a scene wall tiling and floor tiling, that is a surface which is very hard to create by hand on a model. It is not a kit of a vehicle or a building but a decorative element of a scene. Version B follows on from the earlier version A of the same range, so you can choose the pattern that better suits the period and the setting of your composition.
Tiled surfaces are met in kitchens, bathrooms, butcher's shops, hospitals, workshops and in the entrance halls of public buildings. In a wartime scene they have a particular effect: the regular grid of tiles contrasts with the rubble and the viewer grasps at once that they are looking into a wrecked interior. They also work well on the floor of a display case or a small vignette with a single figure.
Level and degrease the base first, so that the surface lies down without bubbles. Before fitting it, offer the tiling up dry and plan where the joints will meet at a corner; it comes out best when one joint carries on from the wall onto the floor. Credibility is helped by lightly dirtying the joints, a greasy cast near the stove and a few missing or cracked tiles in the places where the scene is damaged.
