A set of water-slide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It is not a model and not a kit but a marking sheet on its own, with which you round out and bring to life a build of an armored vehicle of your own. The theme is Cuban ground hardware of Soviet design and the sheet offers variants for several types of vehicle.
The subject is hardware in Cuban service, specifically the types T-34-85, IS-2M, T-54A, T-55, T-62A, the anti-aircraft ZSU-57-2 and the BRDM-2 armored reconnaissance vehicle with an anti-tank missile system. The decals hold tactical numbers and the matching national insignia, so several different models can be marked from one sheet.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish, which will prevent silvering under the film. Cut the design out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface once it has softened. Decal softeners and setting solutions will help it seat and cling into the detail. Finally go over the surface with a matte or satin varnish, so that the markings blend with the surrounding paint.
