Decals 1:35 - the Daimler Armoured Car, British and Belgian service cover the markings of armored cars from the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Star Decals set in 1:35 scale is devoted to the markings of the Daimler Armoured Car in British and Belgian service during the Second World War. It is the first part devoted to this type; the model is not included.
The Daimler was a British armored car with all-wheel drive, a rotating turret with a 2-pounder gun and independent suspension, which gave it remarkable mobility by the standards of the time. It served mainly with reconnaissance units, where speed and a low silhouette were valued more than armor. Besides British crews, Belgian units fighting alongside the Allies went into action with it as well, so one type carries two different national markings.
The vehicle is small, and the areas for markings are therefore small as well: registration numbers on the sides of the hull, unit insignia on the fenders and recognition symbols at the rear. Lay them down one at a time and keep checking the symmetry against the edges, because even a slight rotation shows on a compact hull. Leave the wheels and the lower hull dusty, but keep the sides with the registration number clean - it is by them that the model reads when seen from above.
