Star Decals 1:48 US M4A1 Sherman - D-Day and France 1944 is a set of water-slide decals with the markings of American Sherman tanks from the fighting in Normandy and France in 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of water-slide decals in 1:48 scale from Star Decals. The set holds tactical signs, numbers and vehicle names for American M4A1 Sherman medium tanks from the Normandy landings and the fighting in France in 1944, among others for the 32nd and 66th Armored Regiments and the 741st Tank Battalion. It is not a kit but an addition with markings for models of the M4A1 Sherman.
The M4A1 Sherman was an American medium tank with a cast upper hull, a key weapon of the Allied armored units. Vehicles committed around the invasion in 1944 carried registration numbers, unit insignia, stars and personal names, which this set of decals transfers faithfully onto a model.
Cut the decal out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and, once it has released, slide it onto a smooth surface finished with gloss varnish. Adjust the position with a brush and soak the excess water up. On busy areas a decal softener helps; at the end fix everything with a coat of matte varnish.
This is an addition with markings. The model of the tank, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
