Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Modelcollect treats the German project for the intercontinental jet bomber Amerika-Bomber by the Horten brothers. The model is based on period project documents and belongs to a collector line of aircraft that existed only on paper. The package contains polystyrene parts and a decal sheet.
The Ho.XVIII A was a study design for a flying wing with no tail surfaces, powered by several jet engines. The aim of the design was a range allowing strikes at a great distance. The flying wing layout was meant to cut drag and improve range. The project stayed at the study stage and no machine was built, so this is a reconstruction of a design that was never realized.
Glue the large area of the wing in stages and sand the joints carefully, so that they do not stand out on a smooth surface. An airbrush is ideal for even coverage and fine shades. Bring the panel lines out with a restrained wash; metallic shades suit the jet nozzles.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
