1:72 Luftwaffe wheel chocks 4 Pieces are small resin chocks to go under the wheels of German aircraft in 1:72 scale. They serve as an accessory to a display stand and to an airfield diorama, not as a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Four resin castings from the 77propeller brand stand in for a simple but ever-present item of a field airfield. In 1:72 scale these are miniature parts that can be set out around the landing gear of a finished machine or simply dropped onto the surface of a vignette next to an ammunition crate.
An aircraft built without any surroundings looks static and the viewer never takes in the scale of the scene. The moment a chock lies in front of a wheel, the eye grasps at once that the machine is standing braked and waiting, and the whole composition gains a story. It is precisely in the small scales that these little things make the difference between a display case and a scene.
Leave the parts on the casting block as long as possible so that they can be handled, and cut them off with a sharp scalpel only just before setting them in place. Work with tweezers over a mat with a raised edge, otherwise one chock will end up in the carpet for sure. You can spray them while they are still in one piece and then just touch up the cut edges with a brush. Finally, a light soiling with a pigment in the shade of the surface the model stands on helps. Feel free to set them out irregularly; a symmetrical arrangement looks contrived in a scene.
