1:35 Paint mask T-90MS is an SX-Art masking set for painting a model of the Russian T-90MS main battle tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SX-Art set accompanies a model of the Russian T-90MS main battle tank in 1:35 size. It has a single task: to keep the clear and glossy areas clean while the camouflage dries on the model.
The T-90MS is an export-oriented upgrade of the T-90 tank, shown to the public in 2011. Against the older machines it has a reworked welded turret with a large stowage basket at the rear, a remote controlled weapon station on the roof, a new fire control system and a different arrangement of explosive reactive armor. The gun remained 125 mm with an autoloader. Thanks to the number of add-on panels the silhouette is considerably more angular than on the previous versions. The machine aimed at foreign customers and accompanied the Russian display at a number of arms exhibitions.
Modern Russian tanks are often sprayed in a combination of green, sand and blackish brown with soft transitions. There a mask pays off twice over: the transitions are done freehand low over the surface and the paint easily gets where it should not. Do not hurry, then, and always insert a pause between the individual shades to let them flash off. Go over the edges with a magnifying glass after lifting the mask off. The stowage basket at the rear of the turret is a rewarding place for tarpaulins and crates, but fit them only once the finish is complete.
