Ten small vessels from SX-Art for modelers who build the vehicles of the Soviet Union and Russia. The set contains no vehicle or parts of one; it is purely equipment that completes a model and gives a scene an inhabited look. The exact volume and the rendition of the vessels are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set.
Eastern armored vehicles and trucks are famous for how much load they carry on the outside. The cans are strapped to the fenders, stood in baskets above the tracks, tied to the tanks at the rear and during a move often simply stacked on the bed among the rest of the material. An irregular silhouette thus arises on the model, which sets it apart from a bare kit out of the box. Ten pieces are usually enough for one vehicle plus a small supply for the surrounding scene.
Paint the vessels separately from the vehicle and only seat them in place once finished, otherwise it is hard to get a brush into the gaps. Thin strips of foil or tin sheet, from which straps are easily made, come in handy for attaching them. Choose a base shade close to the color of the vehicle, but not identical, because the vessels were topped up over time. At the end add dust on the bottoms and the sides and fine rubbing in the places where the vessels chafe against the armor.
