About product

1:48 F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler angle-of-attack probe (early type)

A detail set from MASTER for models of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the EA-18G Growler in 1:48 scale. It contains a turned metal angle-of-attack probe in the early type, which replaces the coarser and easily damaged plastic part. The metal version is fine, strong and accurate to scale.

The real subject

The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine carrier-based multirole aircraft of the US Navy; the EA-18G Growler is its specialized variant for electronic warfare. The angle-of-attack probe on the forward fuselage senses the orientation of the aircraft relative to the oncoming airflow.

Use and fitting

  • Remove the plastic probe and clean up the hole.
  • Fix the metal probe in place with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Choose the early type that matches the machine you are building.
  • Fit the part as late as possible so that it does not get bent during the build.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want a fine, durable metal detail instead of plastic on the forward fuselage.

This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
