1:48 P-51B/P-51C Mustang over CBI China, Burma and India

DK Decals 1:48 P-51B/P-51C Mustang over CBI (decals)

A set of waterslide, that is wet, decals in 1:48 size brings the markings of the P-51B and P-51C Mustang fighters operating in the China-Burma-India theater. It is a decal sheet from DK Decals; it is not a kit or parts but an accessory for dressing a finished model. It holds several color schemes and the matching national and personal markings.

The real subject

The early Mustangs with the so-called Malcolm hood served in Asia with units of the famous Flying Tigers tradition and escorted bombers as well as attacking Japanese targets over a vast and demanding theater. Their color schemes and personal markings are among the favorite subjects of collectors.

Use

• lay the decals onto a gloss varnish, which prevents matte framing (silvering)
• once dry, coat them with a layer of varnish and a decal softener if needed
• work with a sharp knife and a soft brush, store the sheet in the dry

Who the set is for

For modelers building the P-51B/C Mustang in 1:48 scale who want faithful and less usual markings of machines from the Asian battlefield. The accessory does not prescribe any particular kit.

This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, the glue, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
