A set of wheels in the BMW Styling 35 pattern 16 inches in diameter for automobile models in 1:24 scale. A replacement for the wheels supplied in a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
BMW uses the Styling designation with a sequence number for its wheel patterns, so Styling 35 refers to a particular factory form and not to an accessory modification. The sixteen-inch size was usual on the cars of this make above all with older generations, where the wheel fills the arch with a taller tire sidewall. In 1:24 scale, sixteen inches corresponds to roughly 17 mm.
The set brings wheels in the Styling 35 pattern as a replacement for the wheels from the box. It will find use on a build that is to match a particular version of the car, and where the parts from a kit do not have the drawing of the spokes needed. The extent of the package, how the parts are divided and the recommended glue are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Seat the wheels dry first and check the diameter, the width and the track against the arches of the model. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part, sand the remainder level and wash and degrease the parts before painting. Multi-spoke patterns come out when a fine dark shade is laid into the hollows over the metal and the edges of the spokes are then lightened a little. Glue the wheels only once the paint has dried completely, so that no fingermarks are left on the edges of the spokes.
The set is for modelers who build civilian automobiles in 1:24 scale and want wheels faithful to the factory subject. It is an accessory to building a model: paints, glue and tools do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
