The second number of the cavalry sub-range of Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale, referred in the name to the year 1940. It follows on from number one and together with it makes it possible to build a more extensive cavalry scene. This is a figure item meant to complete a finished model or terrain, not a vehicle kit.
At the turn of the 1930s and 1940s the French cavalry was going through a transformation. Traditional cavalry units were turning into light mechanized formations, but the designations, the traditions and part of the equipment remained. In the campaign of May and June 1940 these units moved in the space between classic infantry and fully armored formations, which was reflected in their appearance as well. For a modeler that means freedom: a cavalry figure can be set into a scene with horses as well as into a scene with an armored vehicle without looking out of place.
When you build both numbers of the sub-range side by side, tune their coloring together but not identically. Keep the base shade of the uniform the same and deal with the differences through the degree of fading and dusting - that creates the impression of one formation rather than two random figures. Mix the leather items warmer than the cloth, so that they do not merge over a small area. Give the faces a different skin tone, because nothing looks as artificial as two figures with exactly the same face. Finally tie both figures in with dust matching the color of the base.
