It is not a vehicle kit but a figure for a finished model or for a diorama.
Workmanship and use
The pose is a resting one — the figure is leaning, sitting or standing in a relaxed way, which is rewarding for dioramas, because such figures take placement on the hull, on a fender and on the ground beside a vehicle. A relaxed bearing of the body at the same time means more natural folds on the coverall, so the casting leaves plenty of room for shading. Resin holds the fine texture of the cloth, the footwear and the drawing of the face better than injection-molded plastic.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap because of the remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off at the mold seam line with a saw or a knife and level the faces with a file; sand the resin wet and with your airways protected. Glue with super glue and fill the seams with filler. After a thin primer, paint the coverall from a darker ground toward lighter crests of the folds and build the face with glazes of flesh shades. With a sitting or leaning figure, always check the contact with the base dry — a gap under a hip or under a boot is what shows most once painted. Finally bring the recesses out with a thin dark glaze and knock the surface down with a matte clear coat.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
