A complete detail pack (of the Big Ed type) in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. Note - it is not a helicopter kit but a combined set of add-on detail sets meant to refine a particular plastic model of the AH-1Z attack helicopter. The pack brings several separately sold sets together in one package: photo-etched parts (usually color ones as well), seat belts and masks. The sets are intended for the AH-1Z model from Academy. Check the exact make-up of the pack against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The AH-1Z is a modern American attack helicopter, the development successor to the proven Cobra line. A detail pack takes the basic plastic model closer to show quality: photo-etched and color parts refine the instrument panel and the interior, fine grilles and fittings replace coarser plastic parts, and masks speed up an accurate spray of the glazing. Everything is tailored to a particular model, so the parts fit without major reworking.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a surface and bend them over a metal ruler or in a bending tool; glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not treat color photo-etch (the instruments) with aggressive thinners, so that the print is not damaged. Apply the masks to a clean, degreased surface. Working with photo-etch calls for patience and fine tools.
This is a set of accessories for a model, not a kit in its own right. The helicopter model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
