The resin set in 1:35 scale contains faithfully shaped engine exhaust nozzles for a model of the Boeing AH-64D Apache attack helicopter. It is not a helicopter kit, but an aftermarket accessory that refines the shape and the internal detail of the exhausts compared with the parts from a plastic kit.
The AH-64D Apache Longbow is the modernized version of the American attack helicopter, recognizable above all by the radar above the main rotor. The exhaust systems of its turboshaft engines are shaped so as to reduce the infrared signature of the machine. A faithful rendition of the exhausts is among the details that modelers notice on a finished build.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Exhausts usually carry heat-discolored and sooted shades, which show well once a primer has been applied.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
