An ammunition belt in .50 BMG caliber in 1:35 scale. An accessory for models of military vehicles and for scenes where the ammunition beside a heavy machine gun is on show.
Responsibility details are not available.
The .50 BMG cartridge, that is 12.7 x 99 mm, is used in Browning heavy machine guns and is among the most widespread ammunition of its kind. Belts of it are seen on vehicles, in mounts and among the gear spread around a crew. On a model it is a small thing that a viewer notices immediately, because a belt has a regular rhythm and shiny cartridge cases.
The set brings an ammunition belt in 1:35 scale for ammunition in .50 BMG caliber. It comes into its own at a machine gun on the roof of a vehicle, at an ammunition box, on the floor of a cargo bed or in a scene where a crew is replenishing ammunition. How many parts the package contains and how long a belt they make up is stated in the maker's instructions.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away carefully, so that the shape of the links is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material; parts that are not polystyrene hold with super glue. On real ammunition the cartridge cases have a brass shade, whereas the links of the belt are dark and matte, so it pays to set the two apart. Run the belt from the ammunition box to the breech of the weapon so that the free part sags slightly; a perfectly straight belt looks unnatural. Whether and how the belt can be shaped depends on the material of the parts, so follow the maker's instructions.
The accessory will be appreciated by a builder of vehicles and scenes who wants credible ammunition at a weapon instead of a simplified shape from a kit. This is an accessory for a model; the kit itself, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
