1:72 U.S. AGM-109 ACM missile Set

What the set contains

An add-on set of replicas of American guided missiles in 1:72 scale, designated AGM-109. In the American designation system the letters AGM belong to guided missiles launched from the air against targets on the ground. The number of pieces in the package, the material of the parts and whether racks are included are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions.

What the accessory is good for

External stores decide how a model comes across. A kit tends to come with only a few pieces of armament, and those often differ from what a particular machine carried in a given role. A separate set of missiles therefore makes it possible to put together a believable load of stores, to fill in missing pieces or to equip several models with the same type. It also suits the case where you want to display the armament beside the aircraft on a base.

Building and painting tips

Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back carefully, so that a flat area is left for gluing. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue by the material of the parts: modeling cement for polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue for resin and metal. The missiles are long and slender, so support them along their whole length while cleaning and sanding, otherwise they bend easily. Work out the placement on the carrier, the number of pieces on one machine and any reworking of the racks from the manufacturer's instructions and from photographs of the particular machine.
