A round model brush from Italeri in size 0. It is not a kit but a painting tool. Size 0 is the practical fine size: it is still a detail brush, but compared with the thinnest sizes written with a slash (3/0, 5/0) it has a fuller head, and that single difference decides when to reach for it.
Decide by what you are painting, not by how precise you want to be. Size 0 holds considerably more paint than a 3/0, so a small solid object, a button, a buckle, a piece of gear or a panel edge, is covered in one or two strokes without dipping the brush again and again. The paint then dries more evenly and leaves no start-and-stop marks. When you go for a hairline, though, the eye of a figure, an instrument needle or a tiny inscription, size 0 is already too full and the finest sizes belong there. The shape matters just as much in both cases: unlike a flat brush, which has a straight edge and spreads paint over flat surfaces, a round head converges to a point and holds that point, which is what makes it a detail tool.
For modelers who do honest interior and figure detail but do not want to fight a brush that runs out of paint after two millimeters. It tends to be the most used brush in the whole set.
Paints and thinners are not included in the package. Thinners and mineral spirits are flammable, so work in a ventilated room.
