A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of an airplane but a pair of Martin-Baker ejection seats for the American two-seat versions of the Phantom II (the F-4C, D, E, F and G) in 1:48 scale. The set is filled out with photo-etched seat belts.
The Phantom was a two-seater, which is why the set holds seats for the front as well as the rear cockpit. The resin rendering captures the faithful shape of the shells, the ejection handles and the small markings that plastic seats from the box do not hold. The pre-colored photo-etched belts give both cockpits a realistic depth.
Wash the parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand them down with protection of the breathing. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the shells in dark shades with gentle bringing out of the edges, and seat the belts naturally over the cushions and the backrests.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It calls for the matching base model, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not enclosed.
