This resin bathtub in 1:35 scale is meant to bring interior and urban dioramas to life. It is made by SLA 3D printing, thanks to which it has clean edges, a faithful shape and a fine surface. It is not a model of its own but a prop that gives a scene a lived-in character, whether it is an intact bathroom or the ruins of a house.
The bathtub works splendidly in scenes of demolished buildings, abandoned interiors and civilian settings. It can be set into a fragment of tiled wall, completed with rubble and small items, and so turned into a telling narrative detail. In wartime scenes it tends to be a symbol of everyday life disrupted.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the print supports and sand any unevenness with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). You will get the white enamel look with a primer and a gloss white varnish; fine dirtying with washes and pigments around the drain and the edges adds realism.
It is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin prop. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.
