The Bell AH-1G TFace 1:35 is a set of Eduard painting masks for the glazing of a model of the attack helicopter. The TFace design covers the outer and the inner side of the cockpit.

Accurately cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Bell AH-1G attack helicopter in 1:35 scale. The TFace designation means that the set contains masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. The inner masking matters on helicopters with a large area of glazing, because the frames are clearly to be seen from inside the cockpit and leaving them in the color of the clear plastic has a distracting effect. The set is an accessory to a plastic model, and the customer acquires the basic kit separately.
The Bell AH-1G HueyCobra was the first production helicopter designed directly for combat support. It came about on the dynamic components and the powerplant known from the UH-1 family, but was given a completely new narrow fuselage with seats arranged in tandem and short stub wings. It is precisely the slender fuselage and the extensive glazing of the tandem cockpit that make the glazing the most striking element of the model, so cleanly unmasked frames pay off.
Wash the glazing before masking in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let it dry freely, so that the mask adheres well. Lift the mask off the sheet with tweezers and press it down with a toothpick, mainly on the edges. Apply the paint in several thin coats, a heavy coat will run under the edge. Take the mask off while the paint is freshly dry, carefully and at a sharp angle. A stick dipped in water, not in thinner, will remove the remains of the adhesive. Stick the inner masks on and spray them over with the color of the interior before you seat the glazing in the fuselage.
