An injection-molded plastic figure set of the Riich Models brand in 1:35 scale. It captures a British mortar team with the 3-inch (76 mm) mortar at the time of the fighting in North West Europe at the close of the Second World War. The set serves to bring dioramas and vehicle scenes to life; the figures and the mortar are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The 3-inch ML mortar was the standard British medium mortar of the infantry in the Second World War. It was served by a crew of several men, who provided fire support to the advancing units. The designation North West Europe refers to the Allied campaign in western Europe after the landings in Normandy in 1944.
Assemble the figures with liquid cement for plastic and sand the parting lines down gently. For a natural look of the uniforms it works well to apply a base coat, then highlighting and shading, and then to bring the details out with washes. We recommend working from period photographs for the colors of the British battledress and the webbing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
