An accessories set for the model of the British A34 Comet cruiser tank in 1:35 scale. An accessory to a kit, not a model on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Comet was a British cruiser tank that entered the fighting in the very closing stage of the Second World War. Compared with the older types it was given markedly heavier armament in the form of a 77 mm gun and better armor, while it kept the agility for which British doctrine built cruiser tanks. In practice it was the last link in a line that only the postwar generation followed on from.
This is an accessories set for the Comet model in 1:35 scale. Accessories of this kind move a kit from a bare shape to a vehicle that looks as if it is driven: the added equipment breaks up the empty areas of armor and gives the model a sense of scale. That is exactly why it pays to arrange them with care according to period photographs rather than symmetrically on both sides.
First dry-fit the parts and mark in pencil where they are to go; only then glue them. Cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest off. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, otherwise the primer will not hold. Paint the accessories separately from the hull and glue them on only once the primer coat has dried, so that a natural transition of dirt and dust can form around them. Mount the small parts on a stick or a piece of wire beforehand; they are easier to hold and to paint. The exact extent of the package and the recommended placement are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The tank kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
