The Warrior is a British tracked infantry fighting vehicle introduced in the 1980s as a replacement for older armored personnel carriers. It combines armor protection and the mobility to accompany tanks with turret armament and room for the infantry it drops off. Vehicles of this type went through deployments in the Persian Gulf, in the Balkans and later in Iraq and Afghanistan, where add-on armor, cages and further field modifications were steadily added.
