This injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale captures a scene from the Eastern Front in the summer of 1942: the evacuation of a wounded soldier by his comrades. The figures are caught in a dynamic moment and make a rewarding base for a storytelling diorama. The set holds several figures with period accessories and weapons; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The scene refers to the fighting on the Eastern Front in 1942, when the infantry advanced through difficult terrain and carrying the wounded out of the front line was a routine yet risky task. The figures convey the period uniforms, gear and field equipment and factually document the reality of infantry service. The subject is treated neutrally, as a historical reconstruction.
Separate the parts cleanly from the sprue gates, sand off the remnants and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. The details of the uniforms and the faces come out best with an airbrushed base coat followed by highlighting with a dry brush and filter layers. The set drops easily into a trench or an urban setting.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
