1:35 CH-54A SPACE is a set of Eduard color three-dimensional decals for the interior of the CH-54A heavy helicopter in 1:35 scale.

SPACE is an Eduard range in which the details are not printed flat: the decal has relief, so the instrument panel, the side panels and the controls look three-dimensional once applied and come already in color. That does away with the finest brush painting for the modeler, that is filling in tiny dials, labels and switches. The set is intended for a model of the CH-54A heavy helicopter in 1:35 scale, and it is an accessory, not a kit.
The procedure differs from classic decals. The surface under an item has to be flat, clean and degreased; spraying a base dark shade is usually enough, because the item covers the surface anyway. Cut the motif out as close to the edge as possible and moisten only the backing paper with a sponge and a drop of detergent, until the item starts to slide freely on the paper. Lift it off with tweezers, carry it over whole, set it in place and press it down with a soft cotton swab; it is fixed with white PVA glue, as the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Do not use decal softeners here at all; their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the item. Let the finished interior dry thoroughly before you close it into the fuselage.
The CH-54A Tarhe is a heavy helicopter with a load-carrying frame instead of a conventional fuselage. The structure without a cargo compartment made it possible to sling loads and transport containers directly under the spine of the machine, so it was used for carrying outsize loads and for recovery work. The crew cabin with its good view downwards and its richly fitted station is therefore markedly visible on a model, and it is worth investing time in it.
