An element for builders of dioramas in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle or a figure but building blocks that give a scene a civilian, everyday layer. It is one of the numbers of the RT-Diorama block range, so it can be put together with other variants into a larger view.
The block is the typical material of buildings under construction. On a site it tends to be stacked at the foot of a wall, spread about the area or ready for the next story to be laid - and it is exactly this unfinished state that does a diorama good service, because the scene immediately looks like a moment caught rather than a set piece. The same image holds across countries throughout the twentieth century: farm extensions, garages, workshop support areas and fast-growing suburbs.
It works well to establish one place in the view where the building material is concentrated and to loosen it out from there across the area. A few blocks laid differently from the rest - crooked, across one another, a little way from the heap - break the regularity and the scene gains movement. The element also suits filling an empty corner of a base, as a support under a plank or as a low divider for a figure to lean on. Combined with a rutted track and loose terrain it makes a believable building site.
