A set of photo-etched grilles in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. It is not a kit but an accessory that replaces the solid plastic grilles above the engine compartment with more faithful pierced etched parts. The perforation allows a view into the hull and raises the realism of the model.
The Cromwell was a fast British cruiser tank of the Second World War. The rear of its hull carried the engine cooling and ventilation grilles, which are among the prominent visual features of the model.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, seat them dry and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in small drops. Degrease the etched sheet before painting and apply a primer. Bring out the recesses of the grilles with a dark wash.
