According to the manufacturer, glueable rubber band tracks and decals for several marking options are included; the set of figures makes the tank a rewarding basis for a diorama.
The Crusader was one of the most important British cruiser tanks of the Second World War and more than five thousand were built. It was quick across country thanks to Christie suspension with large road wheels. The Mk.III version received the stronger 6-pounder gun (6pdr), which replaced the weaker 2-pounder of the earlier versions and gave the tank more effective anti-tank fire. Crusaders made their name above all in the fighting in North Africa, where their speed was a great advantage in the open desert, even though the reliability of the powerplant remained their weak point.
Finish the running gear with its Christie suspension and the tracks first, and only then close up the hull and fit the turret. Fit the glueable rubber band tracks together and glue them carefully. Glue the plastic with a thin cement for polystyrene. Spray a primer before painting; for British vehicles from North Africa the desert sand shades suit well, whether Caunter or the later desert scheme. Build up the weathering with a wash into the engraved lines, a dry brush on the edges and pigments for pronounced desert dust. Paint the crew figures separately and fit them last, since they bring both the turret and the ground around the tank to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
