A plastic kit of the Chinese hypersonic ballistic missile DF-17 (Dong-feng 17) in 1:35 scale from Takom. The model consists of the booster (rocket) section and the hypersonic glide vehicle. Decals are included.
The DF-17 is a Chinese two-stage ballistic missile carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle, which makes interception by missile defense more difficult. It was first shown to the public at a military parade in 2019. It is one of the first operationally deployed weapons of this type.
The model is made up of smooth cylindrical surfaces, on which careful sanding of the seams and a fine matte coat from an airbrush show to advantage. Sharp transitions between colors and the markings can be achieved with masking; light weathering will bring out the panel lines and the technical character of the missile.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
