A set of individual track links in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is an accessory, not a vehicle model: it contains the parts for assembling a track of the Diehl 828A type for the German Schutzenpanzer Marder infantry fighting vehicle. The set replaces the tracks from the base kit with a truer and workable version.
Diehl type links assemble into an individual-link track that on many sets can be given a realistic sag over the road wheels. A faithful rendering of the guide horns and of the surface of the link raises the detail of a model markedly over the band tracks that come with a kit. The set is meant to be fitted to a matching base model of the Marder.
Clean the links carefully of flash and assemble them as the instructions describe. Paint them separately from the hull, add a steel sheen on the contact faces and a solid layer of dust and mud for convincing wear. Deal with the sag of the track before the glue has fully set.
This is an accessory set of track links, not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
