The digital pattern consists of hundreds of small rectangular fields and no one will get it onto a model freehand. The package contains one sheet of stencils cut according to the real layout of the finish, so true perpendicular edges arise on the hull and the turret instead of smeared transitions.
This 152 mm machine came about in the Soviet Union at the end of the 1960s on a chassis derived from a heavy tracked tractor. The gun has a conspicuous fume extractor behind the muzzle brake and a rotating turret at the rear of the hull, which gives the vehicle its characteristic angular silhouette. The Ukrainian artillery operates these howitzers to this day and some of them have been given a modern pixel coloring.
First cover the vehicle with the lightest tone over the whole surface and let the finish cure thoroughly, as otherwise it will peel off during removal. Then lay the stencils in sections rather than all at once over the whole model, and add the darker shades gradually from the lightest to the darkest. Aim the nozzle at right angles to the surface and apply thinly: paint sprayed at an angle gets under the edge and a pixel loses its sharpness.
The package contains neither the shades of the finish nor the vehicle itself.
