A resin figure set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It holds two figures of German soldiers from the period of the Second World War, conceived as one two-figure composition. The set is an accessory for dioramas and display cases, not a kit of equipment. The German name is the naming of a scene, not a designation of a unit.
Castings in hard modeling resin capture finer detail than injection-molded plastic - the folds of the uniform, the straps, the belts and the small kit. Both figures are designed so that they create a legible whole together: the mutual turn and the poses give the scene action even when there is no further scenery around them. In a scene with a vehicle or a building they serve at the same time as a feature of scale.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed, or the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutter and level the surfaces with a file and abrasive paper; sand resin wet and with respiratory protection. Cyanoacrylate super glue will secure the joint, and a thicker variant with a filler will fill the seams. Start the painting with a thin primer, then build the fabric up from a dark base to brightened edges, so that the figures do not look flat. Build the skin up by layering, pick the folds out with a wash and unify the surface with a matte varnish. The leather parts will take a light satin for contrast with the matte cloth.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
