The set deals with two places that everyone notices on a finished model of a tank: the track and the drive sprocket. It contains replacement tracks and drive sprockets in a shape corresponding to the subject, that is, there where according to the name the kit offers an inaccurate shape. The scale is 1:35.
The E-75 designation belongs to a German project for a heavy vehicle from the end of the Second World War. It came about within the E development series, whose aim was to unify the building of armored vehicles around several weight classes and to simplify production. The machine never reached series building and stayed at the project stage, and all the more room a modeler has in the choice of coloring and of the setting.
The track runs through the chassis along its whole length and determines how the vehicle stands on a base. The drive sprocket is moreover circular, so every deviation in its shape and in the spacing of the teeth is apparent even at a distance. The replacement parts also hold the same thickness over the whole surface, which with a track influences how it rests against the road wheels.
The procedure for assembling the track differs between individual sets, so go by the manufacturer's instructions. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Seat the track dry and only then glue, otherwise you will no longer adjust its run around the wheels. Apply the paint in thin layers and apply the metallic sheen on the contact surface only at the end.
