This is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model. The set follows on from round poles of 6 mm diameter and makes it possible to build a more varied line in a scene than the poles alone allow. It is meant for modelers who already have the round poles in their collection and want to take the route in a scene through to the detail.
A real line in open country is not a monotonous row of identical poles. At a bend, a crossing or a branch the route behaves differently, and it is exactly these points that make a diorama believable. The extension set gives the modeler the freedom to create these situations instead of repeating a single type of pole over the whole area. It comes into its own in rural and suburban scenes, in front-line views of the Second World War as well as in postwar and civilian subjects.
First lay out the whole route of the line and only then deal with the individual poles - the other way around usually ends with a route that leads nowhere. Use the additional elements where something happens to the line, not evenly along its whole length. Compare the 6 mm diameter against the poles you already have beforehand, so that the elements join up. Judge the arrangement from the eye level of a viewer.
